Club Chillers, Arnhem
Stylebar in a 100-year old storage in Arnhem, formerly the famous George Jazz Café. Orange floors and a 9 m. high waterfall behind the bars. Dance area on the ground floor, lounge area with brown sofas on the first floor, DJ Boot in between.

R&B pub, Albania
In the centre of Tirana, Albania, we have designed an interior for a R&B pub, with several spaces to eat, drink, dance and listen to performances.
The client didn't realise this pub.

Practice for psychotherapy
Practice for one psychotherapist in the garden of her own home. Two entrances, one from the garden one frome the street separates the routes of client and therapist. The building contains a practiceroom, waitingroom, pantry and bathroom and is connected to an existing storage.

Varix works together with a lot of freelance designers and artists. For our Christmas Card 2003 we approached artist Jurryt de Leeuw to draw this incredibly detailed drawing of the city of Arnhem, to be clear: the city of Arnhem to his opinion.
Café Ritzy, Arnhem
The carribean club of the nightdistrict of Arnhem. Low budget design for a new roof construction of their existing conservatory. Overlapping coloured windows are a link to the existing shove doors. The colours are inspired on the carribean style.

RAP, Rijland bouwt een huis, Leiden
Competition for a single house in an existing suburb of Leiden, the Netherlands. This house contains the possibility to use it as one single house and two houses in one.
Concert hall Luxor, Arnhem
A 90 years old cinema, which was an example for the famous cinema Tuschinsky, will be transformed to a concert hall. Varix did thoroughly reseaurch, based on visits at popular concert halls / clubs in holland as Paradiso, Melkweg, 013, Mezz and Paard van Troje. Due to that research we made a design which is favoured by many professionals.

Studenthousing, 7 studios will be realised 2009-2010 in an former bathhouse in the old quarter of Klarendal, Arnhem, near the city centre and the upcoming "Modekwartier" with about 20 exclusive fashion shops.

New student housing, 14 studios, realised in the old quarter of Klarendal, Arnhem. Realisation will take place 2009-2010. Characteristic are the walkways on every level which are all 3 meters wide, with private terraces in between wooden storages.

De Reggehof, Goor
This theater became a new theaterpub and a new third theaterhall for about 150 persons. The new rooms are part of a new townhall which is connected to the theater and will also be used by the council. We did a functional research for this remarkable combination and made a new design for the existing lobby.
Namasté, shop, Zutphen
This beautiful old shop building is situated in an old 14th century urban extension of the centre of Zutphen. In het side walls we found a 600-year old half-timber construction.
The building is now owned by a couple which runs a great African and Asian interior shop.

Scheer house, Luxembourg
This 350 year old mountain house is located just outside the village of Surré, Luxembourg. We designed an extension inspired on the traditional Schifferstein which is located in the mountain where this house is build on.
From
the balcony you have a beautiful panaroma view over the valley. The bathroom is situated behind the big window in the roof. While bathing you can overlook the surroundings.

Extension of a villa (2 in a row) designed bij architect Charles Estourgie in the 50's. L-shape floating over 2 glass facades produced bij Skyframe. Due to the high quality of the existing house and the interruption of the existing design and designprinciples, the clients decided in dialogue with us to put aside this extension and to just realise the internal renovation.
